On many occasions I have heard customers say that they are going to sell or give away the sofa because it is very dirty and impossible to keep clean. I usually pass on 2 suggestions:
1) Vacuuming the Sofa on a regular basis will great improve the appearance of the furniture.
2) Professional Upholstery Cleaning should be done as well. A professioanl job by certified technician can often times improve the appearance and durability.
** an added note is that Scotchguard can be applied to protect against staining.
Many Carpet Cleaners offer a huge discount on upholstery cleaning when other services are being performed. It depends on the size of the job but I have seen discounts ranging from 35-50%. Much more affordable than purchasing a new Sofa.
